Project Samruddhi teaches practical financial literacy to domestic workers and women in underserved communities.

Through free, interactive workshops, we equip participants with the knowledge and confidence to budget, save, bank digitally, and access government schemes.

"Learn. Save. Thrive."

✦ What does "Samruddhi" mean? ✦

🌿 · 🌿

Samruddhi (ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ) is a Kannada and Sanskrit word that means prosperity. But prosperity is about more than financial wealth — it is about opportunity, confidence, and stability: the ability to plan for tomorrow while meeting the needs of today.

At Project Samruddhi, we believe financial literacy is the foundation of that prosperity. By making practical financial education accessible, we hope to empower individuals to make informed decisions, build healthy financial habits, and create lasting financial well-being for themselves and their families. Because true prosperity begins with knowledge.

✦ Our Story ✦

🌿 · 🌿

Every journey begins with knowledge.

Financial literacy is more than just understanding money: it is about creating opportunities, building confidence, and making informed decisions that shape everyday life.

Yet for many individuals, especially those in underserved communities without access to formal education, access to practical financial education remains limited. Concepts such as budgeting, saving, digital banking, and financial planning are often learned through experience rather than guidance.

Project Samruddhi is a student-led organisation that was founded to bridge this gap by making financial education accessible, practical, and relevant. Through interactive workshops conducted in Kannada, we strive to equip participants with the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions and work towards long-term financial well-being.

✦ — Our Mission

Project Samruddhi empowers domestic workers and underserved communities through practical, accessible financial literacy sessions. Through interactive workshops, one-on-one guidance, and financial inclusion support, we equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to budget effectively, build healthy saving habits, access banking services and government schemes, use digital payments safely, and make informed financial decisions.

We believe that financial literacy is more than understanding money; it is the foundation of confidence, independence, opportunity, and long-term financial security.

By empowering one individual at a time, we strive to create a ripple effect where knowledge is shared across families, workplaces, and communities, fostering generations of financially informed, resilient, and empowered individuals.

✦ — Our Vision

We envision financially empowered communities where every woman and underserved individual has the confidence to make informed financial decisions, achieve long-term financial security, and inspire others to do the same.

We believe that when one individual is empowered with financial knowledge, they become a catalyst for change — strengthening their family, uplifting their community, and passing that knowledge on to future generations.

Aayu Mithra Karanth, Founder of Project Samruddhi, conducting a financial literacy session

Hi, I'm Aayu Mithra Karanth,
the founder of Project Samruddhi.

As a high school student with a strong interest in economics and finance, I have always been fascinated by how financial knowledge can shape opportunities and improve lives. Through conversations with the people around me, I realized that many individuals who work tirelessly every day have had little access to practical financial education.

Project Samruddhi was created from a simple belief that financial literacy should be accessible to everyone and not a privilege.

By conducting interactive workshops in Kannada, I hope to equip domestic workers and underserved communities with practical financial skills that empower them to make informed decisions, build healthy financial habits, and work towards long-term financial well-being. While I lead this initiative, Project Samruddhi is built on collaboration, continuous learning, and meaningful conversations with the communities we serve.
